Dear Honorable R.T. Rybak,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history with public policy. In these subjects, I like to learn the need to advance on Civil Rights to help protect people who are different from being discriminated,  protect the environment from pollution,  find ways to improve public safety, and many others. Honorable Rybak, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is because I find your work as former Mayor of Minneapolis, Minnesota to be very inspiring to me.

When you served as 46^th Mayor of Minneapolis, Minnesota I was very proud on how you were a strong supporter of Civil Rights to help protect minorities, women, people with disabilities, and LGBT from being discriminated in education and public places. Also on Civil Rights, I liked on how you supported funding women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy,  be an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights, support equal pay for women to help protect them from being discriminated based on pay, and express the need to continue to expand on hate-crime legislation to help protect people who are different from people who commit hate-crime on them.  Creating job-training programs to help youth including workers develop job-skills and working with the city including different construction companies to build affordable housing to help people who are low-income or who can’t afford the cost to get shelter are great ways to improve the economy.  On criminal justice reform, I was amazed on how you implement treatment programs to help drug-users including victims of crime get the care they need,  push for minorities, women, and people with disabilities to work for the court system with the law enforcement,  and work with law enforcements and the minorities community to find ways to reduce racial profiling.   Creating Minneapolis Promise to help high school students get educational grants to help prepare them for developing job-skills, Pushing for Step-Up program to provide counselors to help give advice along with help youth develop a plan to help them get a college education or provide them assistance to find a summer job,  and founding Minneapolis Youth Violence Prevention Initiative to expand on funds on to reduce youth involvement in crime like expand afterschool programs to help students get help on their education, promote volunteering programs to help them get engage to fix the community,  and make recreation center available for youth to help reduce them from getting involve in crime are great ways to help make a great difference on youth.  On the environment, I’m very proud on how you supported funding renewable energy projects (renewable energy, solar, wind, and biofuel) to help reduce addiction to oil with gas including reduce pollution, provided funds to help clean up parks, rivers, and drinking water to make them safe for people to use, and encouraged businesses to use energy efficient products to  help reduce high energy cost.

Honorable Rybak, I have Autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of Civil Rights and be an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also your work as 46^th Mayor of Minneapolis, Minnesota motivates me to continue my interest in learning history.my future goal is to someday teach history to help people learn the need to make society better. Another thing is I enjoy reading your articles that you write because it does a great job emphasizing the need to protect the environment, make Civil Rights stronger,  how helping youth including people who are low-income can make a great difference, and many others. Your articles that you write are easy for me to comprehend and motivates me to learn about the need to make social justice a better place.

Honorable Rybak, I strongly believe that you made a great difference as Mayor of Minneapolis on different issues. I am very proud on how you work hard to make Civil Rights stronger, make a great difference for  youth, protected the environment, and many others.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, continue my passion for history,  and to read your articles. I was wondering if you could please share with me what it was like being Mayor of Minneapolis and explain your favorite achievements. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, making great achievements, and inspiring me. Here is a picture of me as a gift to you for inspiring me. Dear Mr. Radcliffe,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite movies that you played in The Harry Potter film series and Kill Your Darlings.  In 2001, I remember seeing the first Harry Potter movie Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone in movie theaters and I liked it. The main reason I liked the first movie was because I enjoyed learning about Harry Potter’s origin on how he became recruited to go to Howgarts where he discovers that he is a famous wizard which makes him decide to learn magical education, seeing his interaction between Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger where they become his friends, and many others.  After watching the first movie I became more interested in watching more sequels to continue to see Harry Potter with his friends going on the journey to save the world including Hogwarts from the dark arts, explore more about Harry Potter’s early origin, and seeing Mr. Potter’s interaction between Albus Dumbledore.  Mr. Radcliffee, I thought you did an excellent job portraying Harry Potter because I liked on how you made him have great triats like not giving up on improving himself on his magical abilities when he faced some obstacle challenges, caring about his friends including his mentor,  and having Harry Potter become a great hero.  Another movie that I enjoyed that you played in was Kill Your Darlings,  a biopic movie because I enjoyed learning about the Allen Ginsberg’s writing and his life in college.  I thought you did an excellent job making Allen Ginsberg because I liked on how you made him not give up writing when he faces different challenges from his own college or his friends.

During my childhood, I use to read Harry Potter books for my school assignment.  My mom would help me read the book because I struggle with Autism that affects my learning comprehension. However when the first Harry Potter movie came out, I really liked it because the movie did an excellent job explaining the main characters,  explain the origin of Harry Potter, and understanding the plot.   Your role in Kill Your Darlings about Allen Ginsberg got me very motivated to continue my interest in learning about different famous people biographies.  How I learn about famous people is by reading biographies, seeing biopic movies to help me understand more about how they played a role in history, and researching them by visiting museums to help advance my learning.    

Mr. Radcliffe, I strongly believe that you really make a great difference in acting. I’m very proud on how you worked hard to make Harry Potter a great character in the Harry Potter film series.  Also you have inspired me to continue my interest in learning about Harry Potter’s life with his story and continue my motivation to continue my interest in learning history along with famous people’s biographies. Here is $5 as a donation for you to use to fund the theatre to help continue promoting the arts. My name is Matthew Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in learning history and public policy. In these subjects, I like to learn the need to advance on Civil Rights to help protect people who are different from being discriminated, find ways to make voting registration easy for people to register to vote in elections, have government reform to reduce corruption in elections including public officials, and many others. The main reason I’m writing you a letter is because I find your work as Secretary of the State of Connecticut to be very inspiring to me.

When you served as Secretary of State of Connecticut from 1999-2011, I liked on how you were a strong supporter of advancing on Civil Rights to help protect women, minorities, and people with disabilities from being discriminated in education and public places.  Also on Civil Rights, I was very proud on how you were a strong advocate for people with disabilities’ rights, used your office to help women including minorities businesses get the help them need to register to the state to start their businesses in order to compete in the economy without being discriminated, and made polling places be accessible for people with disabilities to use, provide transportation to help them get to their voting places, and expand technology like optical scan voting system, vote-by-phone technology, and many others to help them understand the ballot or vote privately.  Another thing that I was amazed when you were Secretary of State of Connecticut was on how you created different technology systems like CONCORD system which helps people search for information about different companies that are registered to do businesses in the state and create Connecticut Voter Registration System, a first statewide voter database to help ease voter registration to help find ways for people to register to vote without delay or other issues and protect voter’s rights.  On Civil liberties, I was very proud on how you pushed for a law to remove social security numbers from voter registration rolls in order to protect citizen’s right to privacy and implement “Safe at Home/Address Confidentiality” to protect victims of domestic violence or victim of different crimes address confidential to protect them from offenders. Working with Civic and advocacy groups, schools, and different educational programs to help push for voter registration drive to get people motivated to be voters for election and more civic educations to help people learn more about how government including elections work are great ways to make education a better tool and is common sense to help address to people the need to vote in order to have their voices heard. To make polling stations safe, I liked on how you worked really hard to strengthen security at the places to make sure that they were safe for voters to vote along with make sure that there were no laws being broken by hiring law enforcements and expand training session to help make poll workers be efficient at their job.  Pushing to ban gifts to staff members of Secretary of State from lobbyist, expanding campaign finance disclosure laws to help the public know who is donating to a campaign, ending pension benefits to government officials who are convicted of a crime, and working with Attorney General Bumenthal to combat against businesses that did illegal businesses like tax fraud, discrimination, pollute water usage, and many others are great ways to reduce corruption in government including elections and make society a better place.

Your commitment to be a strong supporter of Civil Rights and be a supporter of people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Your work as Secretary of State of Connecticut motivated me to take government classes including a class called Campaigns and Elections when I went to Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  In these classes, I enjoyed learning about how American government works, different terms of the U.S. Constitutional amendments, need for Civil Rights to be stronger,  a strong need to expand voter’s rights to help protect voters from being discriminated, and the need for ethics reform with campaign finance reform to reduce corruption in elections including public officials with government. Another thing is your work motivates and inspires me to continue my interest in learning history with public policy.  My future goal is to someday teach history to help emphasize the need to make Civil Rights stronger to end discrimination, have ethics reform to reduce corruption,  the need to make voter’s rights stronger to help protect voters, and many others.

 Ms. Bysiewicz, I strongly believe that you made a great difference as Secretary of State of Connecticut. I’m very proud on how you worked hard to make a great difference for society in ethics, voter’s rights, Civil Rights,  and education. You have truly inspired me to work hard on my disability, be interested in learning about ethics reform with taking government classes, and continue my interest in learning history with public policy. Here is a picture of me as a gift to you for inspiring me. My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in studying history including public policy.  The reason I have a strong interest in these subjects is to learn the need to advance on Civil Rights to help protect people who are different from being discriminated, protect the environment from pollution, need to improve transportation to make public safety better for people, and many others. The main reason I’m writing you a letter is I find your role as Mayor of Portland, Oregon to be very inspiring to me.

In your current role as Mayor of Portland, I like on how you continue to support advancing on Civil Rights to help protect women, minorities, and people with disabilities from being discriminated.  On criminal justice reform, I liked on how you implement community policing to help improve police relations with citizens, have treatment programs to help drug users or victims of crime get the treatment they need, and expand protection on victims of domestic violence.   Your commitment to improve public safety by funding constriction projects to fix sidewalks including fill pot holes to help protect pedestrians from danger or an accident is common sense.  I was amazed on how you worked the Government of Portland, Oregon to pass a resolution to oppose expansion of fossil fuel infrastructure in local areas to reduce addiction to oil with gas. Also on the environment, I’m proud on how you support funding renewable energy like wind, solar, clean biofuel, and energy efficient products to help reduce pollution and high energy cost.

Mayor Hales, I have Autism with a learning disability. Having Autism is difficult for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects and sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of protecting Civil Rights and be an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on Autism. Your work as current Mayor of Portland on different issues inspires me to continue my interest in history. My future goal is someday to use what I learn from history to teach people about the need to improve society or work in public policy to help create good ideas to help shape society.  Another thing is your commitment to protect the environment and implement renewable energy really inspired me to be a volunteer at Ann Arbor Hands On Museum, a science children’s museum in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 2013- currently.   In my role as a volunteer at the children science museum I work with other volunteers to help teach children about science through different science demonstrations, explain to them about the benefits of the environment, and  help engage children on how to protect the environment.  My letter is also a gift to you for working hard to make a great difference.

I recently heard that you decided not to run for re-election for the Mayoral election. However, I strongly believe that you made a great difference as Mayor of Portland, Oregon on different issues. You have inspired me to work hard on Autism, be interested in continue learning history, and be a volunteer to help teach children the need to protect the environment from pollution. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make great achievements, and inspiring me. I wish you well on continuing your current role as Mayor and to continue on advocating for great ideas.
