Dear State Representative Paiz,

My name is Matt Winick, an Asian American from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history including social justice. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, expand on social justice to improve communities, and many others.  State Representative Paiz, the main reason why I’m writing you letter is to explain how I find your work when you served as Member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 11th district and as current Member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 10th district to be very inspiring to me. 

When you served as Member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 11th district from 2023-2025 and as current Member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 10th district, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, supporting funds for women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy, and expanding laws to combat against hate-crime to help protect minorities including people who are different.  On the economy, I liked on how you support expanding jobs-training programs to help train youth including workers to develop work skills to help prepare for the work force and advocate for the need to raise the minimum wage to help assist minimum wage workers afford  to live.  Also during covid-19 pandemic, I really like on how you have been a fierce advocate and supporter for people who are low-income or people who have lost jobs or are struggling with unemployment to get assist on getting health insurance to help them stay healthy along with get help on mental health.Supporting funds for renewable energy resources to help reduce addiction on oil with gas, encouraging businesses including industries to use energy efficient products to help reduce high energy cost while reduce pollution, and working with state legislatures to expand funds to help clean parks including water resources to make them safe for people to use is common sense to help protect the environment.  On education, I really like your commitment to provide funds to help improve special education to help students with disabilities get the accommodations they need to learn and support literacy programs to help students including adults develop or improve on their literacy skills.  On voter’s rights I really like on how you are an advocate for the need for in-person early voting before the election and allow people to have absentee ballot without a reason. Also on criminal justice reform, I like on how you are supported legislation to expand on drug treatment programs to help drug users get the care they need to reduce drug abuse and advocate for the need for ethics reform to reduce police misconduct or police brutality on citizens. Another thing that I like about your work in the Michigan Senate is how you voted in favor for legislation to repeal the tampon tax to help provide women including women who are low income afford to get menstrual products for other health reasons including better access to safe sex so they won’t have to pay high taxes, advocate for the need for more programs to help the homeless get shelter along with supplies, support the need for better health care to help people with pre-existing conditions or people who can’t afford insurance get the care they need, heavily support women’s rights to choose, and support expanding funds to help assist people with autism spectrum including people with disabilities to get better access to health care services. 

State Representative Paiz, have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advanced subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts in different settings (social and environmental), and get teased. Also with my disability I sometimes face discrimination in getting help in the health care system or other services. Your continuous strong support for Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  On Youtube and your Facebook page I enjoy listening to you talk about social justice, civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights, environmental protection, and criminal justice reform. Your role as former Member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 11th district and as current Member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 10th district helps give me motivation to continue learn different subjects. My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protecting the environment from pollution, expanding on criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights while reduce crime, and many others. 

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference in the Michigan state legislature. I’m very proud on how you are working hard to support civil rights, protect the environment, expand on social justice, and many others. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, learn more about your work, and continue to learn different subjects. My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history, social justice, and criminal justice reform. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, have criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights while reduce crime, and many others.  U.S. District Judge Jenkins, the main reason I’m writing you a letter to explain how I find your work when you served as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois and as current U.S. District Judge of the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois to be very inspiring to me.

When you served as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois from 2006-2021, I truly appreciated on how you were a strong supporter of civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, prosecuting people who commit hate crimes to help protect minorities including people who are different, and investigating public places that practice different forms of discrimination. Supporting drug treatment programs to help drug users get the care they need to reduce drug abuse, expanding on resources to help victims of crime or victims of domestic violence get the help on dealing with their trauma,  and advocating with pushing for funds to improve DNA testing including forensic science to help solve evidence including cases efficiently while reduce sending an innocent person to jail is common sense for criminal justice reform.  Also on criminal justice reform, I like on how you work to implement wrongful conviction unit to investigate cases that had wrongfully convicted people of a crime that they didn’t commit including prosecution misconduct or judicial misconduct, created an educational awareness to help educate people including the Office of the U.S. Attorney about mental health, advocated for community policing to help law enforcement engage with the community to improve relations,  and supported community service for non-violent offenders or non violent juveniles get rehabilitation to reduce re-offending.  Another thing that I liked about your work as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois was  how you implement strategies to help provide people with mental health to get help instead of strict sentencing, prosecuted after public officials who are corrupt or accepted illegal bribes, went after industries that illegally polluted the environment or violated environmental protection laws, addressing the need to hold law enforcement officers accountable when they do misconduct or use illegal tactics on innocent people, heavily advocate for better voter protection laws to help protect people from losing their right to vote, and take away weapons from people who have a domestic violence record.  In your current role as U.S. District Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, I like on how you are a continuous strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights and criminal justice reform.  Another thing that I like about your work in the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois is how you continue to support protection of civil liberties like the 4^th amendment to help protect people from unreasonable searches, heavily address the importance of reducing racial profiling to help protect minorities including immigrants from racial injustice, and advocate for the need for the court system to help people with disabilities along with address the importance of people with disabilities rights.

Dear Ms. Harden,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv shows that you are in are Code Black and So Help Me Todd. Code Black was a great medical show about first year residents along with other medical staff at Angels Memorial Hospital where they work to help people with different medical needs when they would face hospital politics including resources that are limited. In Code Black, I like on how you made your character Dr. Leanne Rorish because I like on how you make her have different unique traits helping mentor first year residents to do a good job in the medical field, using her medical skills to help patients who have different medical issues, being an advocate for better mental health services including health care reform to help patients who can’t afford medical care, and many others. Another thing that I liked about Dr. Leanne Rorish is how she stands up for patient’s rights including medical staff when they have to deal with hospital politics, working hard to improve herself when she faces challenges, and many others. So Help Me Todd is another show that I like due to the plot of it about Margaret Wright, an attorney who has a law firm where she hires her son Todd, a Private investigator to work hat her firm to help her firm deal with different cases.  Ms. Harden, I think that you do an excellent job portraying as Margaret Wright because I like on how you make her have different unique traits like wanting to help people who can’t afford a lawyer when they deal with challenges, being compassionate for people that have struggles, helping her children when they would have challenges in life, working with her son Todd on investigating different cases, and navigating the politics of legal system. Also what I like about Margaret Wright is how she learns to work with her son Todd on different cases despite their differences or different methods to help her clients, working hard to improve herself when she faces challenges in life, and many others. 

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes. Ms. Harden, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself.  Also I had done teaching time to help me learn to speak while learn how to improve my behavior, spent time in special education to help me learn different subjects in education, and many others.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.   Your characters Dr. Leanne Rorish in Code Black and Margaret Wright in So Help Me Todd gives me motivation to work hard to improve myself and expand on critical thinking when I face different challenges.

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. Under Fire as an interesting  movie about Russell Price, a photojournalist and a journalist Claire Stryder cover the Nicaraguan Revolution and have to navigate on figuring out how to cover the story. Ms. Cassidy, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Claire Stryder because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like working with Russell Price on navigating Nicaragua while figuring out what story to write, being compassionate for the people who are victims of the revolution like innocent people including children, and many others.  Another movie that I liked that you were in was Who Framed Roger Rabbit.  Who Framed Roger Rabbit was a great Disney movie about Eddie Valiant, a private investigator who has to exonerate Roger Rabbit who is framed for murder. In Who Framed Roger Rabbit, I liked on how you made Dolores a great character like helping Eddie Valiant on investigating the case and encouraging Eddie to be compassionate for the toon characters including Roger Rabbit and Jessica Rabbit.  Superman The Animated Series was a great superhero cartoon about Superman helping protect Metropolis while navigating as Clark Kent in society. In Superman The Animated Series I really liked on how you made Maggie Sawyer have unique traits like using her police skills to help Superman on solving cases, work with her partner Dan Turpin on assisting Superman on stopping crime,  and being compassionate for Superman when he faces challenges in life. 

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Ms. Cassidy, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself. Also with my disability, I struggle in society including a work place or when I volunteer on trying to do fast pace on different tasks including understanding how to do task efficiently which causes people to get flustered at me. Also with my challenges, I have struggles on maintaining friendships when other people get judgmental about me having a disability or not meeting their expectations. Your advocacy for civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Your characters Claire Stryder in Under Fire, Dolores in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Maggie Sawyer in Superman animated series helps give me motivation to continue to have compassion, use critical thinking to learn, and find different methods to improve myself.

Ms. Harrison, I think that you do such an excellent job singing because I like on how you make your songs have symbolisms like the need for love when times are hard, working hard to overcome different struggles in life, how it is important on  helping people or showing compassion to people who are different or when they are in a time of need, a strong need for friendships, and many others. My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you were in was Undercovers. Undercovers was a great spy drama about about Samantha and Steven Bloom, former CIA Agents and are brought back into the spy missions. In Undercovers, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Samantha Bloom because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like using critical thinking skills to analyze different people’s body behavior or evidence to help her husband Steven Bloom on different missions, continuing to work on her marriage to Steven Bloom when they would have challenges in life or when they would have some differences on handling different missions from the agency, and many others. Also what I liked about your character Samantha Bloom was how shew is helpful to her sister Lizzy when she is a recovering alcoholic, being compassionate for people who struggle in society and continue to work with other members of the team when there are challenges. One of the movie that I really liked that you were in was Belle. Belle was a great historical movie about the origin Dido Elizabeth Belle and how she struggled as a mix race in a British society. Ms. Mbatha-Raw, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Dido Elizabeth Belle because  I liked on how you made her a unique historical figure by trying to understand her life as a mixed race (being part white/African), being an advocate for the need to stop slavery trade in the British empire, and many others. 

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of human rights including the rights of people with disabilities. Ms. Mbatha-Raw, I have autism including a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself.
