Dear Ms. Day,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting and singing. My favorite movies that you played in were Young at Heart, Teacher’s Pet,  and The Thrill of It All.  Teacher’s Pet is a great movie because I enjoyed the plot of it about Erica Stone, a journalism instructor who asks a journalist names James Gannon to talk at her school which he refuses, then he gets humiliated which results him in pretending to be a student as Jim Gallagher, and he falls in love with the professor.  In the movie, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Professor Erica Stone because I liked on how you made her be like a journalism instructor, having a sense of humor, and many others. Also in Teacher’s Pet I thought you and Mr. Clark Gable did an excellent job making this movie a great romantic comedy.  My favorite scene in that movie was where James Cannon (Jim Gallagher) in the classroom where he challenges professor Stone on some literature.   Also my favorite songs that you sang were It’s Magic, Everywhere You Go, Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered, and My Darling My Darling.  In your singing career I thought you did an excellent job working with Frank Sinatra, Buddy Clark, and many other singers.

Ms. Day, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Sometimes when I struggle with a disability I have trouble speaking, understand some vocabulary, and many others. Watching movies including movies that you played in and seeing different tv shows helped assist me on improving on vocabulary and some speech.   Your continuous support for people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.   Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are an animal rights activist and created the Doris Day Animal Foundation to help protect animals from being abused and provide money for animal health care to help animals get medical treatment they need.  In 2004, Congrats on winning the Presidential Medal of Freedom award for you commitment to make a great difference for society through your activism.  Your activism on animal rights motivates me to learn the importance of protecting animals including domestic animals from being abused, the need for animals to have a safe environment from danger, and have medical care for animals to help them from getting diseases.

I strongly believe that you made a great difference in the film industry and that you are a very talented actress.  Also you did a really great job singing because you made the lyrics flow well with the music.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, watch the movies that you starred in, and understand the importance of animal rights. I’m providing you a picture of me as a gift to you, my hand drawing of a dog with a cat for you to keep, and $10 donation for the Doris Day Animal Foundation to help improve animal rights. New York, NY  10278-0001

Dear Judge Choe-Groves,
My name is Matt Winick, an Asian American from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a storng interest in learning history, social justice, and public policy. In these subjects, I like to learn the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination,  have criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights or civil liberties from being weaken while reduce crime, and improve social justice to improve society. Judge Choe-Groves, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work in the judicial system to be very inspiring to me.

When you served as Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s office from 1994-1997, I liked on how you were a strong supporter of Civil Rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, prosecuting people who commit hate-crime  to help protect minorities including people who are different, and expressing the need to combat against racial profiling to help protect minorities rom being oppressed without probable cause.  Another thing that I liked about your work as Assistant District Attorney was that you were an advocate for victims of crime or victims of domestic violence to get help from law enforcement services on dealing with their trauma, support the idea of drug treatment programs to help drug-users get the treatment they need to reduce drug addiction,  and push for educational awareness programs to help address the need to reduce gun violence including other crime.  In your role as Senior Director of Intellectual Property and Innovation in the Office of the United States Trade Representative during 2005-2010, I was very proud on how you worked with Republican President George W Bush and Democratic President Barack Obama to work on improving trade laws to help find ways to make products safe for consumers to use and expand protection laws to help protect intellectual products from being stolen or hacked by foreign countries.  In July 2015, I was very proud on how you accepted President Obama to be nominated to serve as United States Judges of the United States Court of International Trade to help him improve the judicial system while work on fixing trade laws and congrats on being confirmed by the U.S. Senate in June 2016.  In your current role as United States Judge of the United States Court of International Trade, I really like on how you are a continuous advocate for the need to strengthen consumer protection laws to make products safe, support the need to expand investigation on companies that practice fraud or abuse on worker’s rights, and support Civil Rights. Besides your work in the judicial system, I like on how you are active in the Asian American community by advocating for Asian Americans with disabilities’ rights, supporting the need for educational awareness programs to help address the need to teach people about Asian American culture including history, and expanding funds to help Asian American communities get help.

Judge Choe-Groves, I have autism with a learning disability.  Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also being an Asian American with autism is a difficult struggle due to some Asians including some Asian Americans tease me or get judgmental about me having a disability and believing that I don’t meet their standards.  When I face these struggles it makes me sad. However, your commitment to be an active in the Asian American community including advocate for Asian Americans with disabilities’ rights drives me to continue to be confident to be proud to be an Asian American with autism while develop an interest in learning Asian American culture with history. Your role in the judicial system including your current position as Judge of United States Court of International Trade motivates me to continue to my interest in learn history, social justice, and public policy.  My future goal is to someday work in these areas to emphasize the need to make Civil Rights stronger, improver social justice to help people, and many others.

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference in the judicial system. I’m very proud on how you worked hard to support Civil Rights, push for common sense ideas in trade laws, and work with President George W Bush and Obama on finding ways to improve trade laws.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, continue to be proud to be an Asian American when I struggle with a disability, and to continue to learn different subjects. I was wondering if you could please share some advice about working hard on my disability and explain what it is like serving on the  United States Court of International Trade. I wish you well to continue to your role in the United States Court of International Trade.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick

Dear Mr. Alexander,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your comedic acting. My favorite tv show that you played in was Seinfield.  Seinfeld was a great comedy because I enjoyed the plot of the show about  Jerry Seinfield who plays a fictional version of himself where he has a best friend named George, a former ex-girlfriend Elaine, and a neighbor Kramer where they deal with friendships including doing different comedic things.  My favorite episodes of Seinfeld were The Chinese Restaurant, The Busboy, The Trip, The Opera, and many others.  Mr. Alexander, I thought you did an excellent job portraying George Costanza because I really liked on how you worked on continuing his friendship with Jerry Seinfield when they had some conflicts, be loyal to his friends like Jerry, Elaine, and Kramer, and how he works to improve his impulsiveness.  I enjoyed watching re-run episodes in season 1 through 9 because I really liked seeing the friendship of Jerry Seinfeld, Elaine, Kramer, and you while having a sense of humor.   One of my favorite Disney movie that you voiced in was The Hunchback of Norte Dame.  The Hunchback of Notre Dame was a great movie about Quasimodo who lives in a church decided to see what society is like and how he works to find friendship include understand life when he struggles with a disability.  In the movie, I really liked on Quasimodo gets helpful advice about how to feel confident about being different from his gargoyle friends like Victor, Hugo, and Laverne and making new friends Esmeralda including Captain Phoebus.   I really thought you did an excellent job making Hugo a great character in the movie because I liked on how you made Hugo a funny gargoyle with a sense of humor while being helpful with the other gargoyles to help Quasimodo on understanding life including helping him save the city from oppression.

Mr. Alexander, I have autism with learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with autism is that I struggle to maintain friendships due to people getting judgmental about me having a disability or being different from other people.  Disney The Hunchback of Notre Dame had a great message about how people who are different should be given a chance to be part of society and how a person with a disability should be deserved to be treated kindly in society, and the need for friendships.  Disney The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the cast of the movie including you, the characters (Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Phoebus, Victor, Hugo, and Laverne), and the message in the movie really inspires me to work hard on my disability and try my best as I can on friendships.  Also your role as George and the rest of the main cast in Seinfeld motivates me to learn about how a sense of humor can be good and got me really interested in being a fan of the show.

Mr. Alexander, I strongly believe that you do such a great job acting and making comedy have a great sense of humor. You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, learn the importance of friendships, and be a fan of your acting. You did a really great job making Disney The Hunchback of Norte Dame a great movie and Seinfeld a great comedy show.
