Dear President DeGioia,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history, social justice, environment, and diversity. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for Civil Rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination,  have education reform to improve learning, need for diversity to accept people who are different or come from different background, and many others. President DeGioia, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as 45th President of Georgetown University to be very inspiring to me.

In your current role as 45th President of Georgetown University, University, I like on how you are a strong supporter and advocate of civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights and expressing the need to make civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination in order to protect women, minorities, and people with disabilities.  .  Also to improve civil rights, I like on how you work to expand rules to combat against bully and harassment. Supporting accommodations to help students with disabilities like extra time on exams or use educational software to help improve comprehension, expanding tutoring services to provide students with help on their assignments from tutors,  implementing more liberal arts, arts, humanities, history, and basic classes to make education diverse along with make more opportunities for students to find subjects that they want to learn are great ways to improve education reform.  On diversity, I like on how you work on hiring women, minorities, and people with disabilities to work for the college and expand on programs to help educate staff members and students about different cultures along with the need for diversity to accept people who are different or come from a different background. Another thing that I like about your work as President of President of Georgetown University is how you expand on more research programs to help students get engage to learn how different topics can make a great difference for society, push for more scholarships to help low income students or minorities get assistance on getting into college or affording supplies, and heavily express the need to reduce high tuition cost to help students from paying high costs in order to get a college. Also what I like about your work as President of Georgetown University is how you work with the university to raise funds to help reserve or restore historical sites including museums or attractions to make learning a better place while improve on tourism.  Besides your work as President of Georgetown University on how you are a continuous strong supporter of civil rights causes, advocate for environmental protection to reduce pollution, emphasize the need for more liberal arts in colleges, and express the need for immigration reform to help protect immigrants, dreamers, and refugees from being oppressed.

President DeGioia, I have autism with a learning disability.  Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.   Your role as 45th President of Georgetown University gives me motivation to continue to learn history, social justice, and diversity.  My future goal is to work in these areas is to emphasize the need to make civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, have education reform to improve learning, a need for diversity to accept people who are different or come from a different background, and many others. Also I enjoy visiting Washington DC on seeing The JFK Performance Arts Center where I learn the history of how it was created, learned about Frederick Douglas’s life at the Frederick Douglas historical center, went to the Smithsonian African American History and Culture Museum to learn about how African Americans make a great impact on society or how their culture make an impact,  The National Law Enforcement Museum to learn on how law enforcement plays a role in society, and visit different memorials like the MLK, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, JFK burial site, and WWII Memorial to help learn on how they made a significance difference.

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference for society and education. I’m very proud on how you are working hard to support civil rights causes, push for education reform, expand on diversity, and many others. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, learn more about your work, and continue to learn history, social justice, and diversity.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Mr. Ed Harris Actor

Dear Mr. Harris,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite movies that you played in were Apollo 13, Pollock,  Copying Beethoven,  and Appaloosa.  Apollo 13 was a great historical movie about Apollo Commander Jim Lovell, Pilot Jack Swigert, and Pilot Fred Haise going on the Apollo 13 to head to the moon where their spaceship has a malfunction which results in NASA including the flight controllers work on finding way to save the three astronaunts.  In the movie I really like learning about how the NASA along with the flight controllers on how they worked on a plan to save the crew of Apollo 13th and how the Apollo 13 astronaunts are handling the situation.  Pollock was a great biopic movie because I enjoyed learning about   the life of an American painter Jackson Pollock, how he struggles on combating against alcoholism, and developing a style of drip painting. Copying Beethoven was another great historical movie about Beethoven’s final years on battling with a disability that is deafness and developing a friendship with Anna where she helps assist him on writing music.   Also in Copying Beethoven I really liked on the friendship between Anna and Beethoven and how Beethoven became a mentor to Anna on her interest in writing music.  I thought you really did a great job portraying as  Ludwig van Beethoven in Copying Beethoven,  as Jackson Pollock in Pollock, and Mr. Gene Kanz in Apollo 13 because I liked on how you made these historical characters in biopics along with historical movies have different unique traits on how they worked hard when they had struggles in life, how they made some good contribution to help society or shape history, and many others.  Appaloosa is another favorite western movie that I liked because I enjoyed the plot about a lawman Virgil Cole and his deputy Everett Hitch comes to Appaloosa New Mexico to stop a local rancher who is ruthless and to help protect the city from danger.  Mr. Harris I thought you did a  excellent job making Virgil Cole have great traits like caring about the innocent people’s lives, wanting to end corruption in the law, and working with his deputy Hitch on helping protect Allie from danger.

Mr. Harris, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your acting in movies gives me inspiration to work hard on my disability and to be interested in watching some of the movies that you play in.  Your role in historical movies including biopic movies helps me continue my motivation to continue to learn American history and world history. In  history I like to learn the need for Civil Rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, the need to protect the environment from pollution, and how different influential people or famous people (minorities, women, and people with disabilities)  who work hard to push for great ideas or make a great different for society.  Also I enjoy learning about famous people or different influential people ranging from actors, actresses,  some celebrities, and public official on how they work hard to make a great difference, advocate for common sense ideas, or deal with overcoming different struggles because  it helps inspire me to work hard on my disability, develop more interest in learning about people’s life or their work, and many others.  

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actor. You do such a great job acting in historical movies, biopics, western, and many other genres.  You also do an excellent job making your characters have different interest traits. You have truly inspired me to continue to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and continue my motivation ton learn more history including famous people or influential people. I have also added $5 for you to use to donate to fund the arts.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, doing an excellent job acting, and inspiring me.  I wish you the best on your Broadway show and to continue to do great acting.

President Trauth, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as 9th President of Texas State University to be very inspiring to me.

In your current role as 9th President of Texas State University, I like on how you are a strong supporter and advocate of civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights and expressing the need to make civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination in order to protect women, minorities, and people with disabilities.  .  Also to improve civil rights, I like on how you work to expand rules to combat against bully and harassment. President Trauth, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  On Youtube, I enjoy watching videos of you speaking about the need for education reform, diversity, and many other ideas to improve education.  Your role as 9th President of Texas State University gives me motivation to continue to learn history, social justice, diversity, and the environment. my future goal is to work in these areas to help emphasize the need to make civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution,  have diversity to accept people who are different or come from a different background.

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference. I’m very proud on how you support civil rights, push for education reform, expand on diversity, support social justice, and many others. Blair Underwood Actor

Dear Mr. Underwood,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv shows that you played in were LA Law, High Incident, Fatherhood, and LAX.  LA Law was a great law drama show about different lawyers who work for a law firm McKenzie, Brackman, Chaney, and Kuzak  and other lawyers in different areas where they deal with different cases. Mr. Underwood, I thought you did an excellent job making your character Associate/Partner Jonathan Rollins have different unique traits like caring about the other lawyers that work with him on a cases, having the courage to try his best to help people who are disadvantage of the law system or represent people who have hard times, and working hard to overcome discrimination in the legal system base on race. Another thing that I like about your character was how he would advocate for people who are poor, minorities, and people with disabilities when they face challenges in the legal system.  Also another thing that I like about LA Law was how it focus on different issues like criminal justice reform, racism, civil rights, sexual harassment, and many others.  High Incident was a police drama show that I like group of El Camino Police Department officers where they investigate along with solve crimes around southern California. In High Incident, I liked seeing how police officers along with rookies learning bout law enforcement and how to handle solving cases.  Also in High Incident, I like on how you made Senior Lead Officer Michael Rhoades a great character on the show by making Senior Lead Officer Michael Rhoades a great character like mentoring rookies on how to do the job, examining the evidence including witness statements to solve cases, and standing up for other police officers when they face challenges.   Murder in Mississippi was a great historical mini series about the last weeks of Michael Schwerner and James Chaney, civil rights activist who participated in the freedom summer before they died. Mr. Underwood, you really made  James Chaney a great historical figure because I like on how you made James Chaney have a strong passion for civil rights and working with other civil rights activists to help advocate along with protest for better voting rights for African Americans.

Besides your acting career, I like on how you are an activist on supporting civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination, advocating for African Americans’ right to help them,  and raising money to help fund AIDS research to help find a cure. Also on your activism I like on how you express the need for reducing racial profiling in the criminal justice system including the judicial system to help protect minorities including immigrants from being oppressed and heavily support environmental protection causes to reduce pollution. Mr. Underwood, I have autism with a learning disability.  Having a disability is hard for me  because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your activism and your role as James Chaney in Death in Mississippi  helped me get interested in learning American history, environmental protection, and social justice. In these subjects I like to learn the importance of making civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, have immigration reform to help protect immigrants including refugees from being oppressed,  and have criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights while reduce crime.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actor. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and have a passion on learning history including social justice.  Here is a picture of me for you to keep for inspiring me and a small donation for you to use to help charity.
