Dear Ms. Yang

My name is Matthew Winick, an Asian American from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in studying history, public policy, and social justice. These subjects are my favorite to learn the need to advance on Civil Rights to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, help protect victims from crime, and have diversity to make society stronger.  Ms. Yang, I find your work on helping the Asian American community and later as U.S. Attorney for Central District of California very inspiring to me.

When you served as President of The Chinese American Museum in Los Angeles, California I was very proud on how you implemented creating the museum to help educate people about Asian American history including how they overcome their struggles in order to help show awareness about Asian American communities, how they made a great difference in our country, and help make learning a better place. Under the Asian American Bar Association, I liked on how you helped advocate for minorities, gender, people with disabilities, and Asian Americans to get assistance on the bar exams.  In your role as U.S. Attorney for Central District of California, I liked on how you pushed for strict hate crime laws to help protect minorities, gender, people with disabilities, and people with different preferences from being targeted by a hate crime.  To reduce crime and make society safe, I liked on how you handled ending the arson case where you prosecuted an arson investigator from Glendale for setting fires in the state of California and prosecuted the first federal carjacking case in California.  After you left your role as U.S. Attorney position, I was very proud on how you continue being a true advocate to make Civil Rights stronger, helping show more awareness in Asian including Asian American culture, and supporting victim’s rights including people with disabilities rights.

In March 2015, I went to visit the Chinese American Museum in Los Angeles and I enjoyed visiting the museum.  The reason I enjoyed visiting the museum was because the exhibits were well organized from history of China, life of Chinese in America in the early years including the Gold Rush, the struggles that the Chinese immigrants including Chinese American face with discrimination in America with how they work hard to overcome it, and how Chinese Americans are making history or making a difference for the Asian American community.  The museum did a great job helping me understand more about their culture with their diversity. Also I enjoyed seeing a replica of Sung Wing Wo General Store and Herb Shop where I got to learn about what it was like for Chinese to do business in America and to learn how different herbs are used to help benefit people. Having Autism is hard because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle with speech when communicating with other people, and sometimes I get teased by other people. As an Asian American with a disability, I struggle to fit in with other Asian Americans including Asians because they tease me about how I don’t fit well with them based on having a disability including struggle with learning advance subjects.  However, your work on helping show awareness about Asian Americans including Asians, advocating for the need to advance on Civil Rights, and supporting people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability which is Autism with a learning disability and to be confident about being an Asian American with an interest in studying history including their culture.

Ms. Yang, I strongly believe that you made a great difference for society including history in your roles as President of Chinese American Museum and later as U.S. Attorney For Central District of California on helping show awareness about Asian including Asian American culture, supporting Civil Rights to reduce discrimination, advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, and prosecuting cases to reduce crime. You have made an impact on me to become interested in history, being confident about being an Asian American with having an interest in their background, and working hard on Autism.  I’m proud to call you a true role model for me.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, making a great difference from your work, and inspiring me.  I wish you well on continuing being an advocate to make society better with equal opportunity and helping Asians including Asian Americans get awareness.

Sincerely,

Matthew B. Winick

Dear Secretary of State Kander,
My name is Matthew Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in studying public policy including history.  These subjects are my favorite to learn because I like to learn the need to advance on Civil Rights to help protect people who are different from being discriminated, have government reform to reduce corruption in elections including public officials caused by lobbying groups or gifts, protect victims rights from being abused by the criminal justice system to reduce crime,  protect the environment from pollution, and many others. The main reason I’m writing the letter is because I find your work as former Missouri House of Representative from the 44th district and currently as Missouri Secretary of State to be very inspiring to me.

When you served as Missouri House of Representative from the 44th District, I liked on how you supported protecting Civil Rights to help protect minorities, gender, and people with disabilities from being discriminated in education including public places. Also on bipartisanship, I liked on how you worked across the aisle with Republican State Representative Tim Flook on passing the “Kander/Flook “bill, an ethics bill which made running campaign contributions through different committees where a form of money laundering that donors and politicians use it to make it look like a legislation is not bought and sold become a felony to reduce corruption in the committees including members of the committee to make legislation fairer. Also on reforming the criminal justice system, I liked on how you became the author of Sam and Lindsey’s to allow authorities work to prevent kidnapping of children during custody battles and strengthening human trafficking laws that help expand services to victims of human trafficking including women on getting the treatment they need.  As Missouri Secretary of State, I liked on how you worked with Democrats including Republicans to keep the address of domestic violence victims confidential to help protect them from their abusers and pushing for ethics reform that makes Secretary of State staff members be prohibited from accepting gifts from lobbyist.  During the Ferguson crisis caused by the death of Michael Brown including the damage on the city, I was very proud of how you used your role as Secretary of State to work with different small business owners in Ferguson to create Ferguson Rebuild, a non-profit initiative to raise money to provide grants to help rebuild business including the community that were damaged or destroyed by the protest to improve the economy. To help recover taxpayer’s money, I liked on how you lead an investigation with the Missouri Attorney General into Stand & Poor including other scam artists to help protect Missouri citizens from financial fraud

Secretary Kander, your work on ethics reform in your role as former Missouri State of Representative and as currently Missouri Secretary of State got me to be very interested in taking a government course called Campaigns and Elections.  In Campaign and Elections, I learned about how campaigns work, history of different elections, how campaigns including elections influence people, and many others Also my instructor including my tutor worked with me on learning the need for campaign finance reform including ethics reform to reduce corruption in elections, campaigns, and public officials like the need to reduce gifts from lobbyist or special interest groups, have disclosure to help voters identify where the money is coming from, limit contributions from financial institutions or lobbying groups, and having a waiting period before a legislative member or staff member becomes a lobbyist.  I have Autism with a learning disability and having it is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects and have trouble with communication. Your work on protecting Civil Rights from being weakened including being an advocate for people with disabilities really inspires me to work hard on Autism. In September 2015, I visited Kansas City, MO and Independence, MO to see the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, The Jazz Museum, Negro Baseball Museum, and WW1 Museum. I enjoyed seeing these sites because it  I enjoy learning about how minorities played a role in shaping society including the need to end discrimination, remember the WW1 troops who served for our country,  understand how Jazz shaped history, and learning about how President Harry Truman’s life including his achievements like supporting Civil Rights to help reduce discrimination  and many others.

Secretary Kander, I strongly believe that you made a great difference through your role as former State Representative and currently as Missouri Secretary of State on supporting Civil Rights to reduce discrimination, pushing for ethics reform to reduce corruption in government, improving the criminal justice system to protect victims from being abused or give them the treatment they need, and working with different business to help improve the economy including the community. You have truly inspired me to be interested in studying the need for government reform including ethics reform, working hard on Autism, and visiting Missouri to learn history with understanding the need for diversity.  Here is a picture of me holding the flag with a picture of me and a picture of me at Harry S. Truman Museum as a gift for you for inspiring me. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference with great ideas, and inspiring me. I agree with you on the need to make government better by reducing corruption. I wish you well for running for the U.S. Senate 2016 and continue advocating for good ideas when both political parties ignore.
Sincerely,

Matthew B. Winick

Dear Ms. Seyfried,

My name is Matt Winick and I am a fan of your acting in different movies including my favorite tv show Big Love.  My favorite movies that you played in are Nine Lives,  Alpha Dogs,  Dear John,  Letters To Juliet,  Red Riding Hood,  LoveLace, and Ted 2.  In Big Love, I thought you did a great job acting as Sarah Henerickson. The main reason I like her in the show because I like on how she works hard to overcoming struggles on dealing with her father’s polygamy.  Ms. Seyfried, I have a strong interest in studying history and my favorite part in history is studying famous people who work hard to make a difference or overcome a struggle.  Lovelace was a great biographical movie because I enjoyed learning about Linda Lovelace’s life on how she struggled in the porn industry, dealing with abuse, and finally escaping that part of life including being an activist against porn industries.  I thought you were great portraying Linda Lovelace in the movie.   Also I think you do such a great job playing in romantic comedy movies because I like on how you have a balance with comedy and drama.  In 2015, I enjoyed watching Ted 2, a sequel to the first Ted movie. I enjoyed the story of Ted 2 about Ted, a teddy bear fighting for his Civil Rights when authorities treat him as a property where he gets help from his friend John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) and a lawyer Samantha Leslie Jackson played by you.  I thought you did a great job teaming up with Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg on making Ted 2 fun to watch and adding comedy.  I hope that there is a third sequel to Ted with you starring again with Mark Walhberg because both of you did a great job having a relationship in the movie where your characters Samantha and John worked together on overcoming different obstacles.

Ms. Seyfried, I am proud to call you one if my favorite actresses because you do such a great job acting in different genres ranging from biopic, comedy, romantic, and thriller.  You have also inspired me to continue learning history including studying famous people on how they make a difference or work hard to overcome their struggles through your role in Lovelace.  We have the same birthday which is December 3rd and I was born on December 3rd.  I’m sending you a birthday card wishing you a happy birthday, a picture of me including a donation to you to help fund your goal on helping end childhood hunger in America as a gift for your birthday. Your activism to help reduce childhood hunger in America is very inspiring to me and commonsense because I agree with on the need to help the poor, give children access to food including nutrition. I wish you the best luck on your campaign to end childhood hunger and the future for acting in different movies. Keep up the good work and make acting career including the world a better place.
