Dear Mr. Eckhart,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite movies that you played in were Erin Brockovich, Thank You for Smoking, The Core, Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and Sully.  The Core was a great science fiction movie about a team of scientist who have to drill to the center of the earth to restart the rotation of the earth’s core.  I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Dr. Josh Keyes because I liked on how you made him have unique traits for the rest of the team like being resourceful at having knowledge about how the earth works, creating the design for a navigation system for the ship to help restart the earth’s core. Sully is one of my favorite biopic movies about Sully Sullenberger’s early life and his role on doing the January 2009 emergency landing to help save the rest of the passengers from crashing due to a malfunction.  I thought you and Mr. Tom Hanks really made Sully Sullenberger and Jeff Skiles great historical figures in the movie. Mr. Eckhart, you really did an excellent job making First Officer Jeff Skiles a great historical figure because I liked on how you worked together with Captain Sully on finding a way to make an emergency landing and helping along with defending Sully when the National Transportation Safety Board attacks Sully including not willing to believe Sully’s decision.

Besides your acting, I like on how you are an activist  for the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination,  support people with disabilities’ rights, and support raising awareness about the need to improve healthcare along with support Americares, a health relief and development organization to help people who are in poverty or affected by disasters to get healthcare services like medical supplies including healthcare programs.  Mr. Eckhart, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your advocacy for Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Your role in  Sully helped me continue being motivated to continue to learn history. In history I like to learn the importance of making Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination, the need to protect the environment from pollution, improve healthcare to help people who can’t afford health insurance get the care they need, learn about how famous people or different individuals (minorities, women, and people with disabilities) who work hard to make a great difference for society.  In 2016, I saw Sully in movie theatres and I really liked on how the movie had a great message about not giving up on helping people when other people don’t see it.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actor. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits.  Your activism for society is common sense and makes a great difference.  You have truly inspired me to work hard on my disability, enjoy your acting, and be motivated to continue to learn history.  Here is a picture of me with a nice message as a gift to you and $5 for you to use to help your activism. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, making a great difference in acting with your activism, and inspiring me.  I wish you the best to continue to make a great difference.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
