Dear Ms. Estefan,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your work as a singer and an activist. Some of my favorite songs that you sang were Conga, Dr. Beat, Rhythm is Gonna Get You, Get On Your Feet, Reach, and many others. The main reason I like your singing style is because I like on how you make the lyrics very creative, put in Cuban or Latin America culture in the songs, and many others. Another thing that I like about some of your songs is that it has good symbolism like when times are hard or when there are challenges in life you shouldn’t give up, the importance of friendships, a strong need for culture along with diversity.  Besides your music career, I like on how you are an activist on supporting along with advocating for civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination, express the need for diversity in music along with the entertainment industries to help accept people who are different or come from a different background, work on raising money to help fund the arts, history, culture, and diversity to make education diverse.  Another thing that I like about your activism is how are an advocate of immigration reform to help protect immigrants including refugees from being oppressed or find a safe passage from oppressive countries and very active on helping the Cuban American including Latin America’s rights.

Ms. Estefan, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter and advocate of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your activism helps give me some motivation to continue to learn history, social justice, and diversity. Also your role as a singer on singing songs and some of your songs with symbolism gives me some confidence to continue to work hard when I face challenges, learn about how diversity along with culture is important, and many others.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented singer. You really do such an excellent job making your songs have creativity, a sense of humor, great symbolism, and many others. Also I truly appreciate on how you are an activist to help improve society.  You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your work, and continue to learn history, social justice, and diversity. Here is a small donation for you to use for charity and a birthday card wishing you a Happy Birthday for September 1st. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference for society including music, and inspiring me. please continue to make an impact on society.

Matt Winick
