Dear Mayor Price,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history including social justice.  In these subjects, I like to learn the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and many others.  Mayor Price, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as 44th Mayor of Fort Worth, Texas and as a moderate Republican to be very inspiring to me.

In your current role as 44th Mayor of Fort Worth, Texas, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of Civil Rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights,  funding women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy, and working with other city council to expand laws to combat against hate-crime to help protect minorities including people who are different.  Also on Civil Rights I like on how you are an advocate for women’s rights to help protect them from being discriminated based on gender.  On the economy, I liked on how you expanded job training programs to help train youth including workers to develop work-skills to help prepare for the work force and provide tax credits to small businesses along with local businesses to help them hire people to wok for them. Supporting funds for renewable energy resources to help reduce addiction to oil with gas, encouraging businesses including industries to use energy efficient products to help reduce pollution while reduce high energy costs, and providing funds to communities to clean parks including water resources to make them safe for people to use is common sense to reduce pollution.  I liked your approach to improve education by funding special education to help student with disabilities get accommodations they need to learn, implementing more after school programs to provide students with help on their assignments from tutors , and pushing for more literacy programs to help assist people to improve on comprehension or reduce literacy problems.  Another thing that I like about your work as Mayor of Fort Worth, Texas is how you push for more bike paths to help protect people who ride bicycles from getting hit by vehicles, providing funds to restore historical sites including attractions to improve tourism while make learning a better place, and expand on community policing for law enforcement officers to engage with the community to reduce tensions.  Another thing that I like about you being a moderate Republican is how you are a strong supporter of Civil Rights, push for environmental protection, and work with other U.S. Mayors from different political affiliation in the Conference of U.S. Mayors to find common sense solutions.

Mayor Price, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also your role as 44th Mayor of Fort Worth, Texas and as a moderate Republican gives me motivation to continue to learn history including social justice. My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and many others.  Also my letter is a gift to you for inspiring me and for Women’s History Month to help recognize different women who work hard to make a great difference.

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference for society.  I’m very proud on how you are working hard to support Civil Rights, push for environmental protection, improve public safety, and many others.  Also I like on how you have the courage as a moderate Republican to support common sense ideas like civil rights and environmental protection.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability and to continue to learn history including social justice.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, doing an excellent job making a great difference, and inspiring me. I wish you the best to continue to make a great impact on society.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
