Dear Ms. Malick,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite comedy show that you played in was Just Shoot Me! Just Shoot Me was a great comedy show about staff members (Maya, Dennis, Nina, Jack, Elliot, Wally, and Vicki) of a magazine company where they deal with comedy.   Ms. Malick, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Nina Van Horn because I like on how you made her have different unique traits like caring about her other co-workers when they deal with different challenges and have a sense of humor.  Also what I like about Nina Van Horn was how she saw sassy.  Another show that I liked that you starred in was Hot in Cleveland. Hot in Cleveland was another great sitcom about 3 aging entertainment industry veterans (Melanie, Joy, and Victoria) who live in Cleveland Ohio where they have a care taker Elka.  I enjoyed watching season 1 through 6 of Hot in Cleveland because I enjoy seeing how Melanie, Joy, Victoria, and Elka would work on friendships, learn about life, and many others.

Besides your acting career, I like on how you are an activist on supporting civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination, advocating for better environmental protection to help reduce pollution, raising money for different health care organizations to help them combat against different diseases while help people who have pre-existing conditions or who can’t afford health care get help, and many others. Ms. Malick, I have autism with a learning disability.  Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also another thing that I struggle with a disability is when  I have trouble maintaining friendships due some friends including some peers of them tease me or get judgmental about me being different. Your character in Just Shoot Me and Hot in Cleveland on working on friendships when there are challenges gives me some motivation to continue to try to understand how friendships works.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress/comedian. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits and have a sense of humor. I truly appreciate on how you are an activist to help improve the community. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, try to learn how friendships works, and be a fan of your work. I was wondering if you could give me some advice about working hard on my disability when I face different challenges.  Here is a card to wish you a Happy Birthday for December 14 and a small donation to help your cause.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me.  Please continue to make a difference in society and comedy.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
