Dear Mr. Fusco,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you played in was Alf. Alf was a great comedy show about (Gordon Shumway) ALF, an alien life form where he crashes on earth and lives with the Tanner Family and has to understand life on earth.  Mr. Fusco, I thought you really did an excellent job voicing as (Gordon Shumway) ALF because I liked on how you made ALF have great traits like caring about the Tanner Family when they had a hard time, working hard  to understand life on earth when he is different, and having a sense of humor.  Also what I  like about ALF was how he cared about people when they have some struggles or lose motivation.  I enjoyed watching episodes of season 1 through 4 re-runs.  Some of my favorite episodes of Alf were Keeping the Faith, Border Song, Wedding Bell Blues, and many others.  ALF had some great symbolisms about the need for friendships when people have difficulty in life, how to work hard on overcoming different obstacles when you feel different from society, and the need to learn different things to help understand the world or to improve yourself.

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination.  Mr. Fusco, I have autism with a learning disability.  Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Also another thing that I struggle with a disability is when some friends, peers of my friends, and other people bully me or get judgmental about me being different or having a disability. Also when I make some mistakes I feel bad about myself.  As a result, I lose faith in myself and some days I get easily sad. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Your role as (Gordon Shumway) ALF and the ALF show helps give me some motivation to try to understand how friendships works, learn how to improve myself when I face difficulty or when I make a mistake, have a sense of humor, and many others.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actor. You really did an excellent job making (Gordon Shumway) ALF a great character with different unique traits.  You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of ALF, and continue to learn different ways to understand life or improve myself.. Here is a small donation for you to use to help your activism. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great impact on society.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
