Dear Ms. Remini,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting.  My favorite tv show that you played in was The King of Queens and Kevin Can Wait. The King of Queens was a great comedy show about Doug Heffernan and Carrie, a working class couple in New York where they deal with different things in life with friends and family. Ms. Remini, I thought you did an excellent job portraying Carrie Heffernan because I liked and how you made her have different unique traits like being kind to her husband Doug when he has struggles in life or has trouble fitting into society, having a sense of humor, and taking care of her father Arthur Spooner. Another reason why I like The King Of Queens was because I liked how it had a great sense of humor, how it had themes like the need for friendships when times are hard when there are conflicts, and the importance of working together when there are challenges or difficulties.  Kevin Can Wait was another comedy show that due to the plot of it about Kevin Gable, a retired cop who has a family where he tried to adjust to new life. I liked on how you made Vanessa Cellucci be a unique character by helping Kevin understand life when there are obstacles. Also what I liked Kevin Can Wait was how it focused on the importance of being kind to other people when times are hard, have motivation to improve yourself when life doesn’t work, and many others.    Also when you were on The Talk I thought you did a good job being a co-host because I like how you did a good job asking questions to two people that you interviewed on the show to learn more about the life or what the work they're doing to help improve society, trying to be creative on educating viewers about different topics or different issues that are important today, and working to hold people accountable for their actions.  Recently, I watched Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, documentary series and I enjoyed watching it because I learned a lot about how people struggle with harassment or getting bullied by scientology, how Scientology uses their religion for extreme views of pressing peoples’ rights including people with disabilities’ rights, and many others. In the documentary series, I watched you share your story about your struggles when you were a member of scientology and how you faced bullied including harassment from members of the group.

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination.  Ms. Remini, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects,  sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people, some of my friends, and other adults bully me about having a disability and when this happens I lose faith in myself.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your character on The King of Queens and Kevin Can Wait helps give me motivation to try to find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges, learn the importance of kindness, have a sense of humor, and many others. Your documentaries helps me develop interest in watching documentaries to help improve my knowledge of topics or current events in society. The documentaries that I focus on watching are civil rights, criminal justice reform, social justice, environmental protection,  civil liberties, and importance of reducing corruption. These subjects are very important to me because I believe that society needs to improve and learn not to repeat the same mistakes in the past.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress.  I truly appreciate on how you an activist to help improve society. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting,  learn different subjects through documentaries, and try to understand life when there are challenges. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make an impact on society.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
