Dear Mayor Levine,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in learning history including public policy.  In these subjects, I like to learn the need to advance on Civil Rights to help protect people who are different from being discriminated, protect the environment from pollution, and many others.  Mayor Levine, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is because I want to explain how I find your work as current Mayor of Miami Beach, Florida.

In your current role as Mayor of Miami Beach, Florida, I’m very proud on how you are very committed to making Civil Rights stronger. Also on Civil Rights, I like on how you are an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights, express the need for women to have equal pay to help them from being discriminated in pay, support LQBT rights, push funds for women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy.  Pushing funds for renewable energy resources to reduce addiction to oil with gas, working with city government including tourism industries to find ways to keep coastlines with beaches clean from pollution, and expanding funds for cleaning parks including water resources to make them safe for people to use are great ways to protect the environment while reduce pollution.   Expanding training programs for U.S. Coast Guard Station Miami Beach with U.S. Coast Guard City of Miami Beach Government to help them be efficient on handling different situations in Miami, putting bike paths in the roads to help protect bikers from traffic accidents, and working with other constructions workers including the city government to find ways to reduce flooding along with the future of sea level rising by building high roads to keep water from flooding the streets and expand sea blocks to prevent water from causing damage, and advocating for high speed rail to help reduce traffic congestion are great ways to improve public safety.  On the economy, I like on how expand on job training programs to help train youth including workers to develop job skills to help them prepare them for the workforce, encourage small businesses including industries to use energy efficient products to reduce high energy cost, and support the need to raise the minimum wage to help workers afford to live.  Funding special education to help students with disabilities get educational resources they need, expanding on early childhood education to help young children develop reading skills, and pushing for afterschool programs to help youth get help on their assignments are great ways to make education reform stronger.  Another thing that I like about your work as current Mayor is how you are bipartisanship on working with moderate Republican Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez of Miami-Dade County Florida on finding ways to protect the environment from pollution and protect animals from being abused.

Mayor Levine, I have Autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to being a strong supporter of Civil Rights and being an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also on your website I enjoy watching documentaries on your website about protecting the environment from pollution, working on solutions to reduce flooding with high sea levels, and many others. These documentaries including your ideas gives me a great message about the need to protect the environment including learning different alternative ways to make the environment a better place. Also your role as current Mayor of Miami Beach, Florida motivate me to continue my interest in learning history including public policy.  My future goal is to someday use what I learn from these subjects to work in history or public policy to help create common sense ideas.

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference in your current role as Mayor of  Miami Beach, Florida. I’m very proud on how you are using good leadership on protecting the environment, supporting Civil Rights, being bipartisanship, and many others. You have inspired me to work hard on my disability and to continue my interest in learning history with public policy.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference when there are obstacles in the political environment, and inspiring me. I wish you well to continue your role as Mayor of Miami Beach, Florida.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
