Dear Mr. Hill,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you played in were The West Wing and Psych.  The West Wing was a great show about President Josiah Bartlet’s administration on how they deal with leading American along with dealing with different political issues. The West Wing was great at helping me understand how the President’s cabinet works and how the presidency works to help shape different decisions.  In The West Wing,  I thought you did an excellent job on making Personal Aide of President Barlet Charles Young  a great character on the show because I liked on how you made him have different traits like caring about President Barlet’s wellbeing when he has difficulty in life, working with the president’s cabinet to find ways to help shape President Barlet, and many others.  Psych was a great comedy/drama tv show about Shawn Spencer who is a crime consultant for the Santa Barbara Police Department where he uses observational skills with impressive eidetic memory to help solve cases while convince pope that he is a psychic and partners with his best friend Gus to solve cases.  Mr. Hill, you did such an excellent job making Gus Guster a great character on the show because I liked on how you made Gus have great traits like being best friends with Shawn on teaming up on solving cases, having a balance between a sense of humor while trying to be professional, and using his abilities like having a sense of smell or evaluating different things related to a scenes in order to help Shawn.  Also In Psych season 1-8 and the Psych movies I really enjoy seeing how Shawn and Gus would work together to solve cases including find ways to continue their friendship when there is a conflict or a disagreement and working with the police department on friendship while have a sense of humor.

Besides your acting career, I like on how you are an activist to support Civil Rights including people with disabilities causes to reduce discrimination, express the need for diversity in entertainment, and help support African American causes to assist African Americans get help. Mr. Hill, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. another thing that I struggle with a disability is when I have trouble on maintaining friendships when some peers of my friends including other people get judgmental about me being different.  Your activism to help support Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your role as Gus in Psych on his friendship with Shawn gives me some inspiration to continue to work hard on my disability and try to learn the importance of friendships.  The West Wing helped me get interested along with motivated to learn American history, president’s presidency on how some presidents made a great difference, and the importance of voting.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actor. You do such a great job making Gus a great character with a sense of humor on Psych.  Your activism to help improve society is common sense.  You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, try my best to understand how friendships work, and have a sense of humor.  I was wondering if you could please take the time to answer some of my questions.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, doing an excellent job acting, and inspiring me.  Please continue to work hard to make a great difference for society and acting.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
