Dear Executive Director Wong,

My name is Matt Winick, an Asian American with a strong interest in studying history and learning about how Asians including Asian Americans work hard to overcome their struggles through discrimination and how Asian Americans are making a great difference.  On the 1st week of March 2015 I enjoyed visiting the Chinese American Museum in Los Angeles.  In the Chinese American Museum the staff including the volunteers were very friendly with being helpful at answering questions about Asian American History and explaining the origin of the museum.  The Chinese American Museum really has great exhibit and is well organized from the history of Chinese, life of Chinese in America in the early years including the Gold Rush, the struggles that the Chinese immigrants including Chinese American face with discrimination in America with how they work hard to overcome it, and how Chinese Americans are making history or making a difference for the Asian American community like Congresswoman Judy Chu. Also what I liked about the museum was that it even helped me understand more about Chinese American culture with diversity.   I also liked seeing the replica of Sun Wing Wo General Store and Herb Shop because I got to learn more what it was like for a Chines to do business in America with learning how different herbs are used to help benefit people.

In Conclusion, I really enjoyed the museum because it gave a great message about the need to have diversity, help teach people about the need to overcome different struggles, how culture with different Chinese Americans are working hard to make a difference, and having different facts with interactive exhibits to help me understand more history.  I really had a great experience visiting it and the museum helped me feel inspired to be an Asian American.  I am donating $3 to help fund the museum to continue on making history and diversity a better place for people like me and many other Asian Americans.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter and making the museum fun with interactive exhibits and having a strong message.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
