Dear Ms. Potts,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite movies that you portrayed in was Toy Story 1,2, and 4.  Toy Story is a great Disney movie about Andy getting a new toy Buzz Lightyear for his birthday and it makes Woody feel jealous due to Buzz getting attention and later Woody and Buzz have to work together to overcome their differences to be part of Andy.  What I liked about Toy Story was how it had symbolisms like the need for friendships when times are hard, learn from your mistakes to become a better person or improve yourself, a strong need to put differences aside to achieve a goal or work together as a team to overcome different challenges, and many others.   Toy Story 4 was another movie that I really liked about Woody and the rest of the gang travel with Bonnie on a road trip which results in Woody trying to help give Forky, a new toy confidence about being a figure to Bonnie.  In Toy Story 4, I really liked on how Woody and Bo Peep would reunite together and work as a team. Toy Story 4 had some great symbolisms like the need to care about someone when they have a difficult life or obstacle, understand the need to find life to improve yourself, and sometimes letting go is okay to find some purpose of life or if you don’t fit into groups or society.  Ms. Potts, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Bo Peep in the Toy Story series because I liked on how you made Bo Peep have different unique traits like having compassion for the other toys in Woody’s gang when they lose motivation, caring about Woody when he has to face different obstacles or when he isn’t sure how to make decisions, and continuing to have passion for lost toys to find a place for children when the children feel lonely or discourage in life.  Another thing in the Toy Story series was that I really like Woody and Bo Peep’s chemistry like how they both care about each other when there are difficult times, working together to achieve a goal, having a friendship along with a relationship between them, and many others.

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination.   Also I really like on how you are an advocate for the need for more programs to help combat against bullying and programs to help address the need to educate people about mental health. Ms. Potts, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard and a challenge for me because I have trouble comprehending learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Also another thing that I struggle with a disability is when some friends, peers of my friends, and other people bully me or get judgmental about me being different or having a disability. Also when I make some mistakes I feel bad about myself.  As a result, I lose faith in myself and some days I get easily sad. Watching Toy Story series has help give me closure and guidance. Your commitment to be a strong advocate and a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Your role as Bo Peep and the Toy Story series helps give me motivation to continue to learn how to improve yourself when you make a mistake, understand the need to care about people when they have a hard time, work on my disability, and try to understand how friendships works.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress and that you did an excellent job making Disney Toy Story series great. Also you did a great job making Bo Peep a great character with different traits.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of Disney Toy Story, and to continue to learn about how to improve yourself while navigate understand how the world works.  Also I believe that Disney Toy Story series are a great example on teaching kids and people including me about different life learning lessons. I was wondering if you could please explain some advice for me to work hard on my disability on a sheet of paper. Also I have a photo of me with Woody and Bo Peep Toy Story 4 poster when I saw the movie in theaters for you to keep for inspiring me. I included a small donation for you to use for charity or to help your activism.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make Toy Story series great, and inspiring me.  I hope that there can be a spin off of Woody and Bo Peep’s adventure with Bo Peep’s gang.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
