Dear Ms. LuPone,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you played in was Life Goes On. Life Goes On was a great show about the Thatcher Family (  Andrew, Corky, Rebecca, and Elizabeth, and Paige) who live in  Chicago where they have to deal with different things in life. Ms. LuPone, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Elizabeth Libby Thatcher because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like caring about her son Corky when he struggles with a disability which is down syndrome, helping her daughter Rebecca to feel confident when she struggle with social skills, and many others.   I enjoy watching re-run episodes in season 1 through 4 of Life Goes On  because I enjoy seeing your character Elizabeth being compassionate for people who have different struggles and being an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights.  Hollywood Netflix was a great mini-series about aspiring actors and filmmakers who are trying to achieve their dreams during the Hollywood Golden Age. In Hollywood, I thought you really did an excellent job portraying as Avis Amberg because I really liked on how you made Avis Amberg have different unique traits like wanting to fix the Ace studio when her husband had made mistakes, trying to overcome her challenges when she is discriminated based on gender when she become head of Ace Studios, having a passion for diversity along with combating against discrimination, and many others.  Also in Hollywood Netflix series I liked on how it showed what it was like for minorities to face discrimination in the entertainment industry, how actors or other filmmakers who were same sex relationship have struggles in being accepted into society, and how white washing is negative.

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Also on your activism, I like on how you support fund to donate to fund the arts to make them be a part of society,  improve diversity in the arts, and many others. Ms. LuPone, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with my disability is when I feel depressed and discourage about myself when some of my friends, peers of them, and adults get judgmental about me being different form them or having a disability or how they think a person with a disability is bad.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your character Elizabeth in Life Goes On  where she helps her son with a disability gives me some confidence that having a disability isn’t a bad thing and that there can be ways to improve myself.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits. You have truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and try to find different methods to improve yourself.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to work hard to make a great difference for society.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
