Dear Ms. Smith,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you played in was Charlie’s Angels.  Charlie’s Angels was a great crime drama about women who join Townsend Private Detective Agency where they solve different cases and where they get help from John Bosley, an assistant to Charlie Townsend.  Ms. Smith, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Kelly Garrett because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like caring about victims of the crime or other people who have been affected through trauma, investigating different witness statements including evidence to help solve cases, learning to use different skills to help her fit her undercover missions, and many others.  I really enjoy watching re-run episodes of season 1 through season 5 of Charlie’s Angels because I enjoy seeing how Kelly Garrett would work with different women to solve different cases when each of them have different skills.  Another thing that I liked about Charlie’s Angels was how it covered different topics like the need to reduce domestic violence along with the importance of criminal justice reform, a strong need to reduce racial profiling, some messages like the need for teamwork or friendships when there are conflicts, and many others.  My favorite movie that you played in was Florence Nightingale. Florence Nightingale was a great biopic movie about how Florence Nightingale became a nurse and later become influential women for medicine.  In that movie, I liked on how you made Florence Nightingale a great historical figure by making her be compassionate for people who struggle with health issues, standing up against the establishment when they don’t support the idea of better health services, and working to overcome her challenges on facing discrimination based on being a women.

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Also on your activism, I like on how you support environmental protection causes to reduce pollution, express the need for health care reform to help people with pre-existing conditions or people who can’t afford health insurance get the care they need, and donate funds to help combat against breast cancer. Ms. Smith, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when some of my friends, peers of them, and adults get judgmental about me being different or having a disability. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also your character Kelly Garrett in Charlie’s Angels gives me some inspiration to continue to be motivated to work on my disability and be creative on learning different skills.  Your role as Florence Nightingale in Florence Nightingale got me interested in developing an interest in learning history including American history. In history I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, the importance of health care reform to help people with pre-existing conditions or people who can’t afford health care get the care they need, learn how famous people or different individuals (minorities, women, and people with disabilities) on how they made a great impact on society, and many others.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress.  You really did an excellent job making Kelly Garrett a great character with different traits in Charlie’s Angels and making Florence Nightingale a great historical figure. I truly appreciate on how you are an activist to help improve society. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, continue to learn history.  I was wondering if you could take the time to answer my questions.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
