Dear Ms. Parton,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your work as a singer. My favorite songs that you sang were In the Ghetto, My Blue Tears, Joshua, All I Can Do, Sweet Summer Lovin, 9 to 5, I Will Always Love You, Walking on Sunshine, A Few Old Memories, When Life Is Good Again, and many others. Ms. Parton, you do such an excellent job making your songs creative and unique. Also what I like about some of your songs is how it has some symbolisms about life like the need for kindness, when times are tough it is important to find ways to heal, and many others. Also on I like on how you do Christmas songs specials where you make Christmas songs and some gospel songs fun to listen to with a nice message. Besides your work as a singer, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Also on your activism, I like on how you created Dollywood Foundation to help improve the literacy program to assist people including children  who have difficulty reading.

Ms. Parton, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Your songs that have some symbolism in life helps give me motivation to try to find different methods to improve myself or give me some comfort when I struggle in life. Also your activism on social justice causes inspires me to develop more of an interest in learning about social justice. In social justice, I like learning the importance of making civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protecting the environment from pollution, having criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights while reduce crime, and many others.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented singer. You do an excellent job making your songs have creativity and some messages about life. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your singing including your activism, try to find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges in life, and be interested in social justice. I was wondering if you could please personalize a nice message on a photo of you. Also here is a small donation to help your activism and a birthday card wishing you a Happy Birthday for Jan 19th.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me.  Please continue to work hard to make a great difference.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
