Dear Ms. Swank,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite movies that you played in was Million Dollar Baby,  Freedom Writers. Million Dollar Baby was a great movie about Maggie, who is a waitress where she wants to learn how to be a boxer which results in Frankie Dunn, a former coach to help train her.  In Million Dollar Baby, I liked on how you made Maggie have different unique traits like working hard to overcome challenges in her, willing to have the courage to not give up when she faces challenges in boxing, and many others. Also in Million Dollar Baby,  I enjoy seeing how Maggie and her coach Frankie Dunn develop a friendship.  Freedom Writers was a great biopic movie about Erin Grunwell, a teacher who gets assigned to teach English for at risk students at Woodrow Wilson High School during the aftermath of the Los Angeles riots.  Ms. Swank, I thought you did an excellent job making Ms. Erin Grunwell have really great traits like caring about her students when they face struggles like dealing with poverty or getting bullied, working hard to find ways to engage students in doing hands-on activities or other creative ideas to influence students to engage in learning, and standing up to the education system when they are not willing to help at-risk students. Also what I like about Freedom Writers was how it gave a good message like the need for education reform to help people who have disabilities or are at risk students get help and a strong importance of friendships when there are challenges. Also my favorite tv show that you are currently starring in is Alaska Daily. Alaska Daily is a great tv show about  Ellen Fitzgerald, a disgraced news reporter who moves to Anchorage, Alaska to work for a news station to help her find redemption. In Alaska Daily I liked on how you make Ellen Fitzgerald have different unique traits like working hard on being resourceful at finding facts to help other news reporters in Alaska Daily on news, have compassion for people who are struggling, working hard to improve herself when she faces different challenges, and many others. Also what I like about Ellen Fitzgerald is how she is willing to try her best to get along with other staff including news reporters at Alaska Daily when they have differences or different approach on reporting news.

Besides your acting career, I like on how are an activist on supporting civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights to reduce discrimination, expressing the need for better health care reform to help people with pre-existing conditions or people who can’t afford health insurance get the care they need, and working to provide funds for environmental protection causes to reduce pollution.  Ms. Swank, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts in different settings, and get teased. Your commitment to be a continuous strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when I lose motivation and faith when I deal with being hated for having a disability. I try my best to try to find good and continue  to do good things.  Your acting as Maggie in Million Dollar Baby, as Ms. Erin Grunwell in Freedom Writers, and as Ellen Fitzgerald in Alaska Daily tv show gives me some motivation to work hard when there are challenges.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits. Also I like on how you are an activist to improve society. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, continue to work hard when I face different challenges, and be a fan of your acting. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great impact on society and acting.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
