Dear Ms. Warren,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you are currently in is East New York. East New York is a great tv show about Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood becomes the commanding officer of the NYPD’s 74th precinct in Brooklyn, New York where she works to help make the police precinct be a better system to help the community and dealing with the politics of New York including the NYPD. Ms. Warren, I think that you an excellent job portraying as Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood because I like on how you make her have different unique traits like examine different evidence including witness statements to help the other police officers including detectives to solve cases,  standing up for members of the NYPD’s 74th precinct when other NYPD department doesn’t show them respect, and being compassionate about the community when they struggle in life. Also what I like about Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood is how she wants to reform the police department to help people while make law enforcement a better tool, is a strong supporter of improving mental health including people with disabilities’ rights, works hard to improve herself when she faces different challenges, and is an advocate for reform (like community policing to have law enforcement be part of the community to improve police community relations, have better training for law enforcement officers to learn how to deal with different situations in some non-violent methods, and evaluating how cases are handled to make sure that there aren’t any misconduct). I really enjoy watching East New York because I enjoy learning about what law enforcement officers jobs are like, seeing how Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood wants to reform the system to make it better for the community despite dealing with the difficult politics of the NYPD, and many others.

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Also on your activism I like on how you are an advocate for the need for better mental health services to help people who struggle with mental health and support groups that advocate for better criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights along with reforming police to make them be better for the community in order to reduce corruption or misconduct while reduce crime. Ms. Warren, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself.  Also I had done teaching time to help me learn to speak while learn how to improve my behavior, spent time in special education to help me learn different subjects in education, and many others.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also as a person with a disability I sometimes face harassment from law enforcement about having a disability. Your character Deputy Regina Haywood in East New York helps give me motivation to continue to find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges, to continue to learn about social justice including criminal justice reform, and helps give me a voice when other people or public officials or law enforcement aren’t willing to make the system better for people including people with disabilities.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood have different unique traits. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting including East New York, and continue to try to find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. I wish you the best to continue to make East New York a great show and your character Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood an influential character.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
