Dear Ms. Shields,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting.  My favorite tv shows that you played in were Suddenly Susan and Lipstick Jungle. Suddenly Susan was a great comedy drama show about Susan Keane, a managing writer who is trying to adjust being single including learning how to be independent in society. Ms. Shields, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Susan Keane because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like working hard to improve herself when she faces different challenges, taking the time to listen to other people that she interviews about being single, learning how to be compassionate for people who have different struggles, and many others. I enjoyed watching re-run episodes of season 1 through 4 because I enjoyed seeing  Susan Keane learning about how society works when she faces different obstacles, how she works with other co-workers at her job, and many others. Lipstick Jungle was another drama show that I liked due to the plot of it where Victory Ford, a fashion designer Nico Reilly, editor in chief, and Wendy Healy, a producer are best friends with each other and deal with different lives in NYC. In Lipstick Jungle I liked on how you made Wendy Healy a great character with different unique traits like working hard to overcome dealing with depression, helping her husband Shane take care of the kids, learning how to improve herself when she deals with challenges including understand how to be compassionate. Also what I liked about Wendy Healy is how she would help her best friends Victory and Nico when they would have struggles in life or in relationships. Lipstick Jungle had some good messages about how friendships is important despite challenges, the importance of kindness, compassion, and empathy are important in life, and many others.

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination.  Ms. Shields, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself.  When I deal with these challenges I struggle to understand life or how to feel about things. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Your characters Wendy Healy in Lipstick Jungle and Susan Keane in Suddenly Susan helps give me motivation to try to find different methods to improve myself along with work on critical thinking skills.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and continue to try to find different methods to improve myself. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make an impact in society.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
