Dear Ms. Flockhart,
My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you were in was Ally Mcbeal and Supergirl. Ally McNeal was a great legal show about Ally McBeal, who o\is a lawyer who works at a law firm Cage and Fish where she has to navigate the legal system including working with other lawyers including staff at the law firm. Ms. Flockhart, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Ally McNeal because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like learning how to overcome a trauma of being a victim of sexual harassment, having compassion for clients who face struggles in life or when the legal system is broken, and many others. Also what I liked about your character is how she works on trying to have compassion for people who have struggles in life, learning how to work with other lawyers including staff members of her law firm when they have some differences or different methods on handling a case, and continue to find different methods to improve herself when she faces different obstacles in life or on the job. Another show that I liked that you were in was Supergirl. Supergirl was a great superhero show about Kara Zor-El/ Kara Danvers who becomes Supergirl and has to help protect the world including National City from danger while trying to navigate life. In Supergirl, I liked on how you made Cat Grant a unique character like helping give Kara Zor-El/ Kara Danvers advice on how to navigate society as a woman, helping Jimmy Olsen including Kara Zor-El/ Kara Danvers’s allies help save the world, and standing up against bad politics in the city or on the job.
Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Ms. Flockhart, I have autism including a learning disability. I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself. Also with my disability, I struggle in society including a work place or when I volunteer on trying to do fast pace on different tasks including understanding how to do task efficiently which causes people to get flustered at me. Also with my challenges, I have struggles on maintaining friendships when other people get judgmental about me having a disability or not meeting their expectations. Your advocacy for civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Your character Ally Mcbeal in Ally Mcbeal and as Cat Grant in Supergirl helps give me motivation to continue to use critical thinking to learn or understand different things, have compassion for people who have struggles in life, and be creative on understanding how the world works while find ways to improve myself when there are challenges.
I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your characters Ally McNeal in Ally McNeal and Cat Grant in Supergirl have different unique traits. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting including your activism, and continue to learn to navigate the world when there are challenges. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great difference for society.
Sincerely,
Matt Winick
