Dear Ms. Winger,

My name is Matt Winick and ‘m a fan of your acting. Some of my favorite movies that you starred in was Urban Cowboy, Cannery Row, and An Officer and a Gentleman. Urban Cowboy was a great movie about Bud Davis and Sissy on how they try to navigate their love hate relationship. In Urban cowboy, I liked on how you made sissy a unique character by making her care about Bud when he had struggles in life and trying to navigate society when there are challenges, Cannery Row had a great plot about Doc, a Marine biologist who wants to escape from his past finds a love in Cannery Row. In Cannery Row, I like on how you made Suzy DeSoto a unique character by making her help Doc Eddie Daniels on navigating Canner Row, caring about Doc Eddie Daneils when he struggles in life or when he deals with trauma from his past, and many others. Also what I liked about Cannery Row was how it showed on what it is like for the poor working class on trying to survive in a community and how people in the poor working class can have some common with other people in different ways. My favorite movie that I really liked that you were in was An Officer and a Gentleman.. An Officer and a Gentleman was a great romantic drama movie about Zack Mayo, an U.S. Navy Aviation Officer Candidate who is training in the Aviation Officer Candidate School where he has to navigate the hardships of being in the military training while finding love or even understand his own life. Ms. Winger, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Paula Pokriki because I liked on how you made her care about Zach when he struggles in the military training, help him understand life when he questions himself, and continues her relationship including bond with Zach when they have struggles in life.

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Also on your activism, I like on how you support environmental protection causes to help protect the environment from pollution and advocate for social justice causes along with civil liberties to help improve the community while protect our fundamental rights from being oppressed. Ms. Winger, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself. Also with my disability, I struggle in society including a work place or when I volunteer on trying to do fast pace on different tasks including understanding how to do task efficiently which causes people to get flustered at me. Also with my challenges, I have struggles on maintaining friendships when other people get judgmental about me having a disability or not meeting their expectations. Your advocacy for civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Your characters Sissy  in Urban Cowboy, Suzy Desoto in Cannery Row, and Paula Pokriki in An Officer and a Gentleman  helps give me motivation to continue to have compassion, use critical thinking to learn, and find different methods to improve myself.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You dud such an excellent job making Sissy  in Urban Cowboy, Suzy Desoto in Cannery Row, and Paula Pokriki in An Officer and a Gentleman have great unique traits. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your work, and continue to find ways to improve myself when there are challenges. I was wondering if you could please take the time to answer some of my questions.  Here is a small donation to help your activism. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and many others. Please continue to make a great difference for society.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
