First Lady Michelle Obama
c/o White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC  20500

Dear Fist Lady Obama,

My name is Matthew Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in history and public policy. These subjects are my favorite to learn because I like the need to advance on Civil Rights to help protect people who are different from being discriminated, protect the environment from pollution, have healthcare reform to help people with pre-existing conditions get the care they need, and many others.  My future goal is to someday to teach people about the need to improve society and make history a better place.  The main reason I’m writing you a letter is because I wanted to take the time to appreciate President Obama’s work including your role as First Lady and how both of you really helped benefit me along with inspiring me.

President Obama’s The American Recovery Act, a stimulus package helped me get into a job-training program called the B. Side of Arts at EMU college of Business in the summer of 2009. At the B. Side of Arts, I and other people in the program had lectures about how business works, worked on learning different job skills, and took classes ranging from writing to graphic design.  I enjoyed my job-training program experience because I got paid and even developed job skills. As a result, The American Recovery Act helped me feel confident to learn new skills and it helped me get a full-time job. The Affordable Care Act that President Obama pushed for and signed into law helped me stay on my parent’s health insurance until I turn 26 since I’m 25 years old.  First Lady Obama, I have Autism with a learning disability and having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I get teased, and struggle with communication when speaking with other people. Your support for people with disabilities’ rights and your husband President Obama’s support for protecting people with disabilities’ rights from being weaken with strengthening The ADA of 1990 really helped benefit me to get a higher education and to be protected from being discriminated based on a disability. To help move our country forward, I like on how you use your role as First Lady to help President Obama, Vice President Biden, and Dr. Jill Biden to launch Let’s Move program to work with different communities including medical professional to find ways to reduce childhood obesity with encouraging people to eat more nutrition to reduce diseases or encourage them to exercise and launching Joining forces a nationwide rally to call on Americans to help support veterans, service members, and their families on getting the care they need like education, medical care, ad employment opportunities.

You, President Obama, and the rest of the Obama Administration including Vice President Biden with his wife Dr. Jill Biden have done a great job working hard to make America a better place. Your work as First Lady including President Obama and the rest of his administration have helped benefit me to continue working hard on Autism, improve on my job-skills, have health insurance under my parents, continue working hard to eat more nutrition, and even continue my interest studying history so I can learn how to make a world a better place. Even though the news media, special interest groups, and both political parties refuse to work with you and the administration, I am very proud of how you, the rest of the Obama administration, and even President Obama work hard everyday and made a great positive impact on an American like me.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard in your role as First Lady of the United States, and inspiring me.  I wish you well for 2016 to continue making a positive impact and  helping President Obama with Vice President Biden to make society better.

Sincerely,

Matthew B. Winick

Besides Hawaii 5-O, I really enjoyed playing Saints Row series because I liked on how you can customize a character and interact with his gang. Being an Asian American with a disability which is Autism including a learning disability is hard for me because  I get teased by some Asians including some Asian Americans due to their belief that I’m not perfect like them on education and being cultured.  However, your commitment to help Asians including Asian Americans really inspires me to work hard on Autism and to be proud to be an Asian American and even be interested in learning Asian with Asian American history or culture.

Dear Mr. George,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I find your work as a former football running back player, as a motivational speaker, and a tv personality to be very inspiring to me.   I enjoy learning about your career in football starting from Ohio State Buckeyes to NFL where you worked hard to overcome different struggles like improving yourself by practicing on football fields including learning how to fix mistakes.  In your football career, I was amazed on how you won the Heisman Trophy when you played college football and becoming the second NFL running back to rush for 10,000 yards while never missing a start. After you left your football career, I liked on how you created a reality tv show called I Married a Baller. In I Married a Baller, I enjoyed learning more about your life and your wife Taj..  Also in the show, I really like on how both of you added humor including life learning lessons to help viewers like me understand about life.   Another thing, I really like is how you are a motivational speaker explaining people about different advices to improve yourself.  In enjoy watching videos of your motivational speeches on youtube and on the internet because I like on how you explain about the need to work hard, not to give up when times are hard, try different methods to help improve your skill, and many others.  On January 29th, I enjoyed reading an article on SB Nation “Eddie George lost himself after the NFL until he found himself on Broadway.”  In the article, I enjoyed reading it because it did a great job explaining about how you worked hard on your struggle with a injury after football season, taking acting classes to learn acting, and later having a role on Chicago broadway.

When I was in Pioneer high school I was on the Pioneer Swim and Dive Team where I was a swimmer.  In 2007 on the team I struggled because during my sophomore year on the team because I injured my back when I was doing weights before swimming. When I hurt my back I struggle on swimming different strokes including walking.  However, I got help from a physical therapist to help work with me on different exercises. Your story about working hard to overcome your struggle with a sports injury gave me motivation to continue getting help from physical therapist and have confidence in myself.   Mr. George, I have Autism with a learning disability and having it is hard for me because I have difficulty on comprehending on learning different subjects and get teased by other people. When other people tease me due to having a disability and struggle learning different things I feel down with losing motivation in myself.  Your work as a motivational speaker with advices like do the best you can, try learning new things, work on finding friends, be kind to others, and work hard being a good person really helps me feel motivated to work hard on Autism, try learning different things, use different methods to help me improve myself, and many others.

I strongly believe that you made a great difference as a football player, as a tv personality, and as a motivational speaker.  Mr. George, your story about working hard to overcome your struggles and being a motivational speaker really inspires me to work hard on my disability  and to continue working out to help me stay in shape. Here is $10 donation as a gift to you for making a great achievement to star in a Broadway show or you can use to donate to charity to help other people. Also here is a picture of me holding a flag as a gift to you for making a great impact on me. I was wondering if you could list 10 things that can help motivate me to work hard on Autism. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a difference including working hard to overcome a struggle, and inspiring me. I wish you well on continuing your Broadway show.
