Dear General Myers,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history, social justice, and diversity. In these core values or subjects, I like to learn the need for Civil Rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and many others. General Myers, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work when you served as 15^th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as current 14^th President of Kansas State University to be very inspiring to me.

When you served as 15^th Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff from 2001-2005,  I truly appreciated on how you were a strong supporter of Civil Rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights and working to support ideas to help combat against discrimination in the military  to help protect women, minorities, and immigrants.  Supporting more training programs to help train U.S. troops to help prepare for combat and working with companies to find ways to improve gear, military technology including armor to help protect troops while protect their safety is common sense to improve the military.  Another thing that I liked about your work when you served as Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff was how you were a strong advocate for the need for a G.I. Bill to help veterans including U.S. troops get assistance on getting an education, jobs, and healthcare.  Also in November 2005, I was proud on how you received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President George W. Bush for your commitment to help our troops and working to help women, minorities, immigrants, and people with disabilities. After you left your role as 15^th Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff, I really like on how you continue to advocate for Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights, express the importance of the need for military reform to help improve safety for the troops, encourage a strong need to combat against climate change, heavily support causes to help veterans including U.S. troops get healthcare, and support the idea of immigration reform to help protect immigrants including refugees from being oppressed.   In your current role as President of Kansas State University, I really like on how you are continuing to support along with advocate for Civil Rights and working to find ways to make K-State University to reduce discrimination.  On education reform, I liked on how you expanded more Liberal Arts classes (arts, humanities, history, and diversity, some basic classes) to help make education diverse, provided accommodations like extra time on exams or have educational software to help improve comprehension to help students with disabilities get help on learning, and implemented more military history classes to help educate students about the history of the military.   Another thing that I like about your role as President of Kansas State University  is how you work on hiring women, minorities, and people with disabilities to work for the college to improve diversity and team up with different student organizations including faculties to find ways to make K-State University a great learning place while accept people who are different including immigrants, and push for scholarships to help people who are low-income or high school graduates afford to get into a college.

Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on m disability. Also your role as 15^th Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff and as President o Kansas State University helps me continue my motivation to continue to learn history, diversity and social justice.  My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need for Civil Rights to remain stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, improve social justice to make communities safe, and a strong need for diversity to help accept people who are different or come from a different background.

I strongly believe that you made a great difference when you served our country.  Also I’m proud on how you worked hard to help our troops get the care they need, support with advocate for Civil Rights, express the need for immigration reform, and many others.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, learn more about your work in the military including your work as current President of Kansas State University, and be motivated to continue to learn history, social justice, and diversity. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, doing an excellent job working hard to improve society including the U.S. military, and inspiring me.  I have provided you an essay about Dwight D. Eisenhower that I wrote  when I took an 20^th Century History class at Washtenaw Community College as a gift to you for inspiring me along with a picture of me.  I wish you the best to continue to push for common sense ideas.

Dear Mr. Ryan,

My name is Matt Winick with a strong interest in studying history and also I’m a fan of your work on Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag as Edward Kenway including other acting career. In my childhood to present I really enjoyed reading stories about pirates and really liked studying the history of pirates because I found them very unique at different personalities including understanding why pirates had formed because they wanted to be free from king and dictatorship by the British including the Spanish.  Before Assassin Creed 4 got released on Youtube I say the trailer about you describing voicing Edward Kenway and describing more about his personality and the game. After watching the trailer, I got very interested in the game and learning more about Edward Kenway. In December 3^rd 2013 on my birthday, I got Assassin Creed 4 Black Flag for Xbox 360.  I really enjoy playing the game because I really like learning the 18^th century of the Golden Age of Piracy that took place among the Caribbean Islands, learn about the famous pirates like Blackbeard, liked on how the game featured an open world including seas to discover historical places including interact with trading, and understand Edward Kenway’s personal thoughts or felling in the game. Another reason why I liked the game was because I liked on how you can choose option of using stealth approach or being combative during a mission. Mr. Ryan, I thought you did a great voicing and portraying Mr. Edward Kenway because I liked on how you made Mr. Kenway have an interesting personality like he care about his fellow pirates who are his friends like Blackbeard, Mary Read, Anne Bonny, Adewale and Stede Bonnet and struggle to decide if he wants fame with wealth by being a pirate or be an Assassin to help the rest of the Assassin group prevent the artifact from falling into the wrong hands like the Templars.  Also I really liked on how you made Mr. Kenway have a mix of balance of voice like clam, clever, and having a great balance of making Mr. Kenway have different emotions to different reactions.  Besides your role as Edward Kenway in Assassins Creed 4, I really liked and enjoyed watching Constantine on NBC.  The reason I liked the show is because I liked the plot of the show about John Constantine, a demon hunter also a magician who works to protect the innocents from supernatural threats and using his abilities to do what is right to balance between good and evil. Mr. Ryan, I thought you did an excellent job portraying John Constantine because I liked on how you made Constantine have a unique trait on using a balance of deciding which choices to make to stop supernatural threat and making him have some hero aspect like saving people’s lives where he uses magical abilities.  I was very sad when the show got cancelled because I really enjoyed seeing you act in a superhero series and you did an excellent job portraying a superhero’s role. However, I’m excited to hear that you will portray your character in Arrow where Constantine and Green Arrow team up.      

Mr. Ryan, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your acting and making your character John Constantine try to learn how to overcome his struggles on understanding life gives me motivation to work hard on my disability. Your work on Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag helped me get even motivated to continue learning history, helping me understand what pirate was like, and the reason pirates were formed. When I study history I like to be a hands on approach where I can participate to learn on how history works, be a visual learner like seeing historical plays to help understand on how the story is significant, and do interaction on historical videogames to help me engage on understand what the era was like or understand more famous people’s role in the era. Also your work on the game got me very interested in becoming a fan of your work and watching Constantine where I got to see you act.  The Constantine show and your acting as John Constantine got me very interested in trying to read DC comic books HellBlazer to learn more about Constantine’s origin and read more stories of his adventure.  After reading the comic book series and watching the show I became a fan of John Constantine.  

Mr. Ryan, I am very proud of your hard work on making Edward Kenway a great character in Assassins Creed 4. Also you made John Constantine a great hero with different unique traits. You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, continue my interest in learning history, be a fan of your work, and to be interested in watching superhero movies including tv shows. I was wondering if you could please explain some of your thoughts on Assassins Creed 4 or your character of John Constantine on a sheet of paper. Another thing is I was wondering if you could give me some advice about working hard on a disability when there are challenges.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make acting great, and inspiring me so much.  I wish you the best to continue to do acting.

My name is Matthew Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in learning history, social justice, and the criminal justice reform. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for criminal justice reform to reduce crime while improve public safety, make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination, and many others.   District Attorney Branson, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as Douglas County District Attorney of the 7^th Judicial District and your common sense on criminal justice reform to be very inspiring to me.

In your current role as Douglas County District Attorney of the 7^th District, I’m very proud on how you prosecuted people who commit hate-crime on people who are different to protect women, minorities, and people with disabilities rights.  Also on Civil Rights, I really like on how you advocate for people with disabilities’ rights and work with law enforcement agencies to find ways to reduce racial profiling to reduce stereotyping minorities or being aggressive with them. Your approach on criminal justice reform like establish a drug court to help put drug-users in treatment programs to help them get the care they need and create local behavioral health court to help people with mental problems get medical care instead of going through the court system is common sense.  On victims rights, I really like on how you expanded agency’s domestic violence unit to provide special needs for domestic violence survivors and created an educational program to allow victims of crime including witnesses to learn more about the legal process to help give them motivation to trust the system. Another thing that I really like about your role as District Attorney is how you created an active consumer protection division to help investigate against people who commit fraud crimes including property crimes and create educational awareness to help educate people about the need to reduce drug-use along with gun violence.

District Attorney Branson, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate on my thoughts, and get teased.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of Civil Rights, combat against hate-crime, and advocate for people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your work on criminal justice reform motivates me to read short articles including watch some documentaries that focus on alternative sentencing for non-violent offenders, the need for more programs to help victims of domestic violence or victims of crime, and many others.   I really like your commitment to criminal justice reform to improve the system to protect people along with make it work for the people who lose faith in the system while reduce crime.  Another thing is your role as current District Attorney drives me to continue my interest in learning history with social justice.  My future goal in these areas is to continue to learn on how criminal justice reform can make a great impact on society, the need to make Civil Rights stronger, improve social justice, and many others

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference for society and the criminal justice system. I appreciate on how you work hard leading a great example of what the system need with common sense solutions.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability,  have an interest in learning about criminal justice reform, and to continue to be motivated to learn history with social justice.  I was wondering if you could please share what it is like being District Attorney and share some thoughts on criminal justice reform.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, making a great impact, and inspiring me.   I wish you well to continue to advocate with push for criminal justice reform.

My name is Matt Winick, an Asian American from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history, diversity, and social justice.  In these subjects or core values, I like to learn the importance of the need for Civil Rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination,   have diversity in society to help accept people who are different or come from a different background,  and a strong need for education reform to make learning a better tool.  President Sakaki, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as 7^th President of Sonoma State University to be very inspiring to me.

In July 2016, I was amazed on how you made history by becoming the first Asian American woman to become President of Sonoma State University.  In your current role as President od Sonoma State University, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter along with an advocate for Civil Rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, working to improve Sonoma State University to help reduce discrimination to help protect minorities, women, and people with disabilities, and expand on programs to help educate people about the need to reduce hate-crimes.  Provide students with disabilities with accommodations like extra time on exams or use  educational software to help improve comprehension,  expand more tutoring services to allow students to get help on their assignments from tutors,  and push for more Liberal Arts classes (history, diversity, arts, humanities, and some basic classes) to make education diverse is common sense.  Another thing that I like about your work as President of Sonoma State University is how you hire women, minorities, and people with disabilities to work for the college,  support undocumented students including immigrants to get help on dealing with tuition in order to provide education, and team up with law enforcement services to improve resources to help victims of sexual violence or abuse on dealing with trauma, and  work with student organizations to help improve the college environment including diversity.   Besides your work as President of Sonoma State University, I really like on how you use your role as an Asian American to help the Asian American community by advocating for Asian Americans with disabilities’ rights, co-chairing a task force  to award honorary degrees to Japanese American University of California students who were not able to complete their degree due to being interned in camps, teaming up   Asian American organizations to help spread awareness about Asian American culture or education.   Also I like on how you are a strong advocate for the need for immigration reform to help protect immigrants, refugees, and dreamers from being oppressed and to give them opportunities.

Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your advocacy and support for Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also being an Asian American with a disability is hard for me because some Asians including some Asian Americans tease me or get judgmental about me being different and not meeting their standards.  Your role as President of Sonoma State University gives me motivation to continue to learn history, social justice, and diversity.  My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need for Civil Rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, have diversity to help accept people who are different or who come from different background, the need for immigration reform to help protect immigrants including refugees from being oppressed,  a strong need for education reform to improve learning, and many others.
